PAR wish list
I find that 1.8 is plenty black so maybe its your monitor. Mine has SMPTE Type
C phospors and 720 lines or resolution. Keying is another story. I use a matte
for the key signal. Blacks are legal so it doesn't seem to be a problem. I use
the PAR setup bars for my monitor and they seem to be fine on the scope. I
think it may be somewhat subjective as 2.2 is supposed to be NTSC and my
pictures would be blown out at that value. <g>
Yeah, I don't think too many people could see artifacts on a 20 ft screen.
They're not know for their high resolution. <g> Its fun to see your work on a
large screen. I've done several animations for a local company that travels to
all the nice spots like Bermuda and Hiawaii. Two of their clients are Pitney
Bowes and American Airlines for whom I've done animations. They do those big
extravangazas, known as Vanity Pieces for their "Sales Leadership Clubs". They
are really something. Lots of live music, hand held cameras and big projection
screens. Basically a Pep rally for their top sales people, with the intent of
showing everybody a good time, making everybody a star and party party party.
