Paul, I was just cruising around and found your message. I'm certain that
Jonas will provide you with a much better answer than mine, but here goes
anyway:
Are you generating single frames that will be dropped to tape or is this going
to be a flic? I have read you message several times and it looks like you are
doing a flic. Here are my suggestions either way.
1. Single frames with stills and beginning and/or end of segment, to be dropped
to tape – use the heads and/or tails command in the VTR Setup section. You can
adjust the number of frames to use as a head or a tail, and you can also adjust
the number of times to repeat a frame.
2. Flic – generate a Custom palette for your animation, run the animation in
pieces and join them together in AniPro. There you can piece the whole thing
together and insert the stills (for whatever duration you need) where you need
them. If you run everything with the same custom palette, they should join
together nicely.
HOWEVER, a flic as big as you say (80-100M) won't playback very smoothly or at
a rate of 30 frames per second unless you have a faily LARGE amount of RAM.
Particularly at a resoultion of 640X480.
Good luck
Chris
