Thanks for the thoughts and depth of field, Phillip. I still wonder how complicated true depth of field would be to impliment. If 3DS could take distance messurements (?) from the camera and gradually apply and "defocus" algarythym (? again!!) to objects further and further from the camera, using a focus range, you'd basically have it. This seems to make sense to me, but it's probably not as easy as I think. If I could program, I'd try and write as IPAS3. James
