Hi, Michael, I have managed to format Amiga low and high density disks now. I've been able to read a low density MS-DOS disk in the high density drive, but a high density one shows up with garbage as file names/dirs. It appears that my MS-DOS compatibilities are coming from Multi-DOS rather than Cross-DOS. (I gave up on Consultron a couple of years ago when MultiDOS came along and CrossDOS was being done for CBM rather than for me.) MultiDOS is not set up to read/write HiD disks (at least the version I have.) I will attempt the manual install as you suggest. Thanks for that input. Regarding ReadySoft, I have called a twice this week asking for information on how to hook up the floppy drives and have not gotten an answer. I understand your loss of confidence as I am beginning to question my decision to go with AMAX IV. The biggest reason I did it was because I didn't want to scrounge around for 256K Mac ROMs…I already had the 128Ks. Thanks for the detailed information on Emplant and the customer support. I wish them great success. Best regards, Brian
