Trying to dim 3ds geometry eh? Kids theese days<g>. I think what may be the problem is 3ds meshes come into acad as pfaces. A pface is delux 3dpoly. You have tried osnap end when diming? It may not work unless the UCS is aligned right. First to try ucs;e for entity alignment. If that won't work maybe use projenct.lsp, in the acad\samples dir (or was it acad\bonus?). This routine will project a 3d scene onto the ucs. The thing to do is align the ucs to front, side etc., run project, and dim the results. I am curious to know how things work out, if not at all, give me a holler and maybe I can help more. ——–beak
