Chris – I don't use anything much smaller than 20 and add at least 1 pixel space between letters. A size of 30 to 45 is what i use for "normal" text. for text safe areas use center 80% – that is if your screen (acitve raster) is 12.0" X 9.5" move in from edges about 1". I know this looks like you are wasting a lot! learn to live with it. I've put pencil marks on monitors screen bezel – and when i realy need to check I put a straight edge on it and use a WATER SOUABLE marker to put in guide lines. (I like the ones that have different flavors) more than 5 words per line is hard to read – and exceeds capablities of many executives. a yellow or gold on dark blue works best for me drop shadows seem to help readablity – but they should be impeceptable. also I know it is $'s , but of the nessary things to have – I think a good NTSC monitor is up there in the gotta have. besides text running off the edges – checking for good colors, and nasty flicker – it realy saves time & $ in the long run. hope this helps some – Dave Wright Wyeknotinc
