I haven't done caving but at my brother's cave in Missouri, but seeing your mention that you =don't= want to bring a crayon along, I'll chime in here and add that it's not real cool to urinate or defecate in the cave, either, if you can contain yourself. We went in with another brother after he'd been consuming much beer, and deep in the cave found himself considerably frustrated. "Leave it as you found it." 🙂
