I also prefer technical superiority, in fact the MII decks that sell for the same amount as the Sony UVW line weigh 30 pounds more. This is not just lead weight but rather the fact that better, more durable hardware is used (they are built on the same chasis as their top of the line models). HOWEVER, no one in my area (at least duplication houses) accept MII masters. I am waiting to see if the Panasonic rep can convince one of the major houses around here to invest in an MII deck.
