#A PAR Question
Greg: Thanks, I'll try it. I thought of rendering to the PAR and dumping it to
the 3/4" tape, but there are a few problems with it: I'm using my home machine
as an extra rendering station while the two networked machines at work render
along. I end up with about 2700 frames total and it is easier to record them to
my MO disk at home and then dump them to my DAT tape for transport to work than
it is to transport the work frames to my home machine, pull the U-matic machine
from the rack, get a property pass, drag it all home and record. I've got, all
told, about 6 sides worth of 300 MB per side MO cartridges full of frames. I've
been rendering for several weeks now, spending most of my time swapping to
disk.
Now that the rendering is mostly done (I'm cleaning up occasional problems
now) they've gone and canceled the *$!%* building project that this is a
walkthrough of. (so I've added a short sequence where the building melts back
into the parking lot…)
