OK, I've just fooled with it for about an hour … it's obviously going to be
the next great step – kind of limited at the moment, but it's such a terrific
leap in approach. Until it has multiple brush sizes, and above all, support
for a Wacom, it wouldn't be that useful to me. By the time it's in your
budget or mine, it's going to be one terrific tool – very exciting. I wish I
had the money to support/encourage the developers, and to be in a position to
buy it and give them some feedback on needed features … but :-(.
I must say, if it had an adjustable brush, it would have saved me a lot of
anguish trying to do a texture map for accurate brain vasculature … I ended
up having to model a not-very-accurate set of vessels.
Now what I'd really like is all the tools of Fractal Painter with 3D painting
(is that rumor true?) ..
And in response to an earlier comment of yours … no, it's not tactile yet.
And I'm not sure VR5 would do it either.
