you could also render with alpha split turned on – the frames will show up on
your hard drive as your selected filename (example – file0000.tga) and the
alpha will be saved as filename with "a-" infront of the name replacing the
first two letters (example a-le0000.tga) both have there own number sequnces
and the alpha channel keeps the original quality – now use something to choose
you files uniquely- i just use windows file manager or par software's wildcard
select to search my directory with both file0000.tga & a-le000.tga's with a
wild card using the first four letters (a-le*.tga) – once selects all my alpha
images are selected i import to the PAR as an .ani called alpha and import the
24bit frames and bring both into RAZORPRO locking the alpha channel .ANI as a
mattte for the animation – works very well for composition work the alpha
channel .ani can also be quickly converted to a flic by either using an IFL
list in 3dStudio and video post – set renedered ouput to *.flc format or simply
bring only the alpha .ani into RAZOR PRO and setting final output settings to
*.flc or *.fli format….
Hope this
helps
