#scsi & 3ds :{
ok…my version of DXF3DS is behaving the same.
really strange though,
I broke my autocad file up to
13,000 face sets
I am getting
acceptable loads via 3DS / load dxf (5 minutes +-)
I gave up on DXF3DS after a couple of screen fulls of
'unknown object' (or some variation of that)
and the count after 10 minutes was only 950ish.
Both loads were from the ide drive.
I have something really odd here. The only change in the system from
acceptable behavior to unacceptable was the addition of the SCSI system.
It's possible that I may have some 2 vertex 3dfaces being
created by autocad (engineering software)
which might explain the 'unknown object' problem,
but I don't have any problems loading into 3DS.
re: your system.
I currently have 1 ide, 1 scsi, 1 cd.
I will be adding a par/drive setup , and a soundcard.
currently I have a 200watt power supply.
I suspect I am pushing the limit now. What are you using?
Do you notice any difference in performance between
the IDE and SCSI?
Thanks
Todd
