Animator Pro has not been discontinued. Also, it is not sold through regular
retail computer stores. You must contact an Authorized Autodesk Multimedia
dealer. Call 800-964-6432 to find a dealer in your area. If you are still a
student, make sure you ask for a dealer that is also an Educational Reseller.

P.S. The product they are probably thinking of is the original Animator, which
has been discontinued, and used to be sold at any computer store.
