Re: New Large Format High Resolution Output Options for AutoCAD Digital Graphics, inc. (DGI) is establishing a network of Digital Imaging Centers designed to provide high quality, large format, color imaging, and finishing services specifically to the Engineering & Design marketplace. Possible Application Benefits: . High resolution hybrid imaging for Raster/Vector combined drawings . Large format photo realistic 3D renderings for the AEC/Mech/mapping marketplace . Signage and Backlit Presentation . New product rollouts . High resolution marketing and Ad campaigns . Specialized Pre & Post Processing services Our first facility (and Headquarters) is currently open and operational in Burlington, MA with the second center planned for the DC area in early June timeframe. DGI is concentrating on these needs, and in turn, creates presentation quality images using an array of devices (PCs, Macs, UNIX Workstations, a 4000 DPI 11 x 17 drum scanner, a 52 inch continuous feed lamination/mounting machine, etc.) including Iris Graphics Printers (we already have three on line: two 3047s and a 3024) that were formerly used only within the pre-press world. If you are not already familiar with IRIS output, the IRIS inkjet printer produces continuous tone images with an apparent visual resolution of 1800 DPI for photo-realistic results on materials up to a full poster size of 33 by 47. While there are a various small format printers (8-1/2 x 11) that can produce pleasing images (on their paper only), IRIS can produce images on a variety of materials ranging from standard gloss to matte papers to watercolor fine art material and even canvas! DGI has even discovered a particular procedure to maintain the same sharpness, color saturation and striking quality for backlit acetate film specifically for light boxes. I would be very interested in discussing the possibilities of utilizing our services to compliment your existing functionality and service. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions that you feel I can be of assistance with. Sincerely, Michael Fox @ Compuserve: 72623,1260 Engineering Channel Manager
