If you bought a Max 1.5 years ago, you wouldn't have to upgrade to a PVR today, lose that portion of your investment, not to mention the time and hassle of doing it twice, and there are still advantages to the Max, like non-dedicated drive and fields per drive and true YUV input/output… not to mention that you would have had better input and output all along… I think it can be argued strongly either way and for that reason I think that statement is rather simplistic. At least I can maintain my objectivity and see the benefits of both. John
