I've har pretty good luck using HiJack Pro, (by Inset), to convert raster
images with sharp edges to DXF files. What I've then done is to bring these DXF
files into AutoCAD for cleaning up, and then exporting them to 3DS. Maybe you
can find someone in your locale to try this. Where are you located?
