I don't believe that GVP used "nonstandard" parts to "stick it to the
users." Many, if not most manufacturers use "non standard" parts.
CBM used nonstandard parts to stick it to buyers? (Memory chips for the
3000 were nowhere close to industry "standard".) When they put IDE in the
4000 everybody bitched.
