Carl, Thanks for the effort. It puzzles me that DESQview would not make the switch to EGA for the MENU program, but I don't know much about how such things work. In the meantime, I've written a totally successful batch file that lets me run everything beautifully under DV. The mouse cursor behaves rather oddly (i.e., it disappears for awhile) in Toy Universes, but everything else is fine. One more thing. I find (whether in DV or not) that the tops and bottoms of some programs go off the screen. E.g., the F1-Help button is beyond the edge in Mandelbrot. I've got an ATI VGA Wonder+ card and a multiscan monitor. Anything I can do about it? David Rensberger
