#Amiga-PC CrossDOS etc
I would like to be able to start animation projects on the Amiga and finish
them on Mac or PC. So far, I've been mailing ANIMS to myself via Compuserve. I
know that there are better ways to transfer files. Unfortunately, I can't get
any of the programs I've downloaded or been given by friends to work; none of
them has convinced my Amiga 2000 to read a PC disk.
Maybe it's my poor old setup – not updated since 1992, still running AmigaDos
1.3. Or maybe it's my poor old brain – not able to frame AmigaDOS commands in
proper syntax or properly set up the programs (PCMountAll, CrossDOS) I've
downloaded.
Phrases like – "get a null modem" "set up your own network" "keep trying that
shareware!" are floating around my head.
I would be grateful for any moderately priced idiotproof solution explained in
layman's terms.. Someone told me AmigaDOS 2.1 reads PC disks as a matter of
course, but that was a salesman and I don't know whether to believe him… I'm
in the dark here. HELP!
