Yup, thats your problem, get a 28k modem! ..I've only got a 14,400 one
which common opinion would indicate is the minimum speed for a dialup net
connection..
I doubt the ocean is a problem, (I'm in the UK) unless your in that
EuroTunnel, now -theres- some ocean trouble.. <g>
