Paul,
Your problems are _completely_ software related. When I wander the WEB, using
either SLIP _or_ PPP, things just march right along. No delays, no problems. I
use a 486/dx4/75 & the usual Windows browsers. SLIP is fine (at 14.4kb) as is
PPP.
