Randy-
We just got a Gateway this week and use AniPro/ACAD/3DStudio,etc. We are
disappointed with apparent compatibility problems that we haven't seen in
other clones. To be fair, we haven't gotten through to a techie, but I'm
dubious that this is going to be solved to our satisfaction. We haven't
tried AniPro on it yet.
More to the point, we consistently crash in AutoCAD when we use the
display-list driver for the Diamond SpeedStar. Disabling it removes the
problem entirely. We also get a high number of UAE's in Windows when using
image-processing software.
I would be very interested in what you find out, particularly as it relates
to the Diamond SpeedStar. (We are using this card on 2 other computers and
have been very happy with them.)
