We have been creating materials…"tree" let's say, from the "animator clips" library, combining an opacity map (the tree, turned completely white and saved as a cell) and a texture map (the same tree, as shown in the original "animator clips" library). …so far, so good… but when we apply this new material to a scaled cube (scaled to roughly match the shape of the "tree"), and try to render this new object against a single color, gradient, or other bitmap background, the opacity map does not seem to work…i.e. the "tree" is there, but so is the cube! Note, the new object is rendered as planned when rendered against another object…even a background so long as the background is a "mapped object". Has anyone a clue to what's going on here?
