Even though C= went belly up, it is still a recognized name. (In the sense that people have heard of it before.) Ever hear of Packard Bell? They were a defunct electronics concern, that was bought for the name, for a computer compnay. Who, by the way, is now #3 in size, and #1 in home sales, in the U.S.. The average new buyer, doesn't know who did what or when. (How many folks know that Compaq at one time was criticized much like GVP for using one of a kind components. You had to buy Compaq hard drive controllers and hard drives, not so long ago.) In the meantime, the C= logo will be emblazoned on the side of the clone boxes, and the average Joe/Jolene will simply vaugely remember seeing that logo someplace before, and assume that the C= clone in front of them is a name brand machine.
