Bob, no way am I sticking my toes in the current thread, but was very interested in the part of the discussion regarding DEC ALPHA. Details on R5 are being kept well under wraps, but are there opinions on whether it will run on an ALPHA or still be tied to INTEL? It would make sense that sometime down the road this port would be made. I'm about to purchase a new fire-breather with NT/DOS dual boot. But I wish some hard news were available regarding ALPHA. So, if you or anyone else wants to speculate in this highly fruitful direction, I'm all ears. Further to this thought – Intel P6 is some sort of hybrid CISC/RISC, how will R5 deal with that? ALPHA is RISC, sheeesh, maybe R5 has already taken this into consideration. BTW, Bob, no one should take my loving your comment <<digital skinhead>> as taking sides. I just thing it's a great term.
