Ana, >> You were the first that argued with me about the senseless nature of Windows 3.1 & NT. << That is absolutely incorrect, I agrued against Windows not NT. At that time NT was a possibility and I knew it. I preferred DOS until a better alternative presented itself. With NT I have both. But argue against it? That I did not do. I may have displayed some skepticism but that's a distinction that you are not making. And it would be realistic to have skepticism as NT 3.1 was less than ideal. Things going the way of Windows 3.1 would not lead one to have any faith to think NT would be any better. But the fact is, it is better and much much better. At some point you have to conclude that while its not a perfect world, you're getting more than you could reasonably expect, and I think that is the case with 3DS and NT. Frankly Ana, I don't even understand this debate. Its so incredible. The fact is NT is a really outstanding Operating environment. That's it. For you it has to be a Mac & PC debate, how else can you explain your behaviour? You argued for months and months on the virtues of the Alpha, now with NT you can have your Alpha, but now its a PowerMac… Anything but the PC. Gary even commented right after he made the NT annoucement, something to the effect "was there ever any doubt Ana?" because he thought it would please you… apparently not. I for one am thrilled to have NT, I didn't ask for it but nonetheless its much better than I could have hoped for, and so much better than the alternatives. Now that's what I think, and that's how I feel about it. Fortuneately for me, that's true, but if it wasn't I wouldn't carry on about it, I'd just try to find a workable solution. And that's really you're only option. Jeez as much as you like 3DS I'd think you'd get over whatever it is that bugs you about whatever OS is runs on. I remember when you argued FOR having it in Windows so you could use Fractal Painter… so what's the deal…? I'm going to drop it because its totally futile. Your a strong headed woman, argueably admirable in some cases, but in this case, I really think you've gotten what you asked for and now its not what you want. Too bad… really. John
