Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I squeezed the palette and still got a
palette
shift.
FYI: I'm not sure I mentioned it but I had been using a freeware FLC player and
am starting to suspect it as the culprit. I have ordered the FLC player DLL
kit from Autodesk and hopefully that will put this headache to bed.
