May I post the following message for ALL to see? –Thanks *************************** Greetings, Our annual algorithms issue is coming up in September and our deadline for that issue is fast approaching. We're putting together an article made up of Neat Algorithms. We're asking programmers to submit a 50-100 line algorithm with a paragraph or two of introduction/description. The *kind* of algorithms we are looking for are the ones that you consider the most elegent and/or most useful, be it an algorithm you have written for a specific program, or a tweaked "classic".(It need not even be written by you, so long as it is PD and you think it's great.) We want to print these algorithms in an encylopedia-like format (alphabetical order with a description; translated into a common psuedo code for readability and conformity) for easier access. So what do you think? Have you got an algorithm you want to share? Do you want your name (and your program's name) up in lights…er, in print? Do you want that whopping two-digit author's fee and that attractive DDJ T-shirt? *Sure* you do! Don't ya? Hunh? Well… hard-sell aside, let me know if you're interested in contributing to the article. The deadline is oppressive, all submissions must be in by June 1st (and *that's* pushing it). You can upload submissions to DL0 in DDJFORUM, just use DO NOT MERGE ALGORITHMS ARTICLE as keywords. Thanks. –Levi Thomas Assistant Editor, Dr Dobb's Journal
