Marlene, Yea, but back then, people "cared" about each other's pride…now we don't really think about that (and the "slum lords" are only out for the money). As far as people who can't work…I doubt there isn't something constructive and productive that every citizen can do to help out. They might be physical limitations, but then there are clerical, and computer oriented jobs for those with physical disabilities…I feel that as long as you aren't on your deathbed or severely mentally retarded, you sure can try to work. Disabilities do not COMPLETELY disable, they are just obstacles for us to overcome. Mike
