Larry, in the case of Marble Madness I had heard that EA was under pressure
to get it out ASAP. It seems that at a computer show, someone stole a
non-CP'd version of the game. It was not complete (No title screen, etc) but
the game play was there. They needed to get it out before a pirated version
showed up. Nevertheless, they have had ample time to rectify the areas that
are lacking.
