I have a feeling that if someone flamed your product you'd feel quite
differently. I erased CoComm (or whatever) after booting it up for 4
minutes. If I flamed it royally and completely (and believe me, if I used it
I'd find a way to crash it) it would bother you greatly, especially
considering the work and time that you put into it.
However, I have more tact and sensitivity than that (for people other than
myself and my ego).
