I'm not sure what to recommend to you. But buying a Commodore monitor is like castrating your Amiga. You cut all your colors down to around the range of much lesser computers. Your text is as fuzzy as 40 column text on a television. It's unfortunate because I think that the Amiga would have even a stronger reputation than it does if it had a real good monitor that "went" with it normally instead of the junk Commodore's made. I don't understand why they've always made pathetic printers, and they made 1 really nice composite monitor (the 1802, not for the Amiga) but have yet to do a good Amiga monitor. Perhaps the person who designed the C64 printers is doing Commodore's monitors. In any case, the Sony model you have mentioned may have been disontinued. If so, it's probably been replaced with a newer model number that does the same thing. If you have to hold off for a month or 2 to buy a real good monitor, I'd suggest that.
