Steve, I had the same problem when I first attempted to print out an Amiga-generated postscript file. I did get the file onto a Mac disk via an Amiga-VAX-Mac route, but that wasn't the end of it. The problem is that Mac has no standard CLI-type interface, and every application program that I tried wanted to "help" me by making some sort of assumption about the type of file. Some wouldn't even load the file (which is just ASCII). When I loaded it into Microsoft Word, it printed… but all I got was a text dump of the postscript commands. I eventually found out that you need a special utility called "SendPS" which comes with one of the Adobe or Aldus programs. I'm sure that "SendPS" simply reads bytes and dumps them to the printer port, but on the Mac's user-friendly-only system that is not a trivial thing to accomplish. So now, I use another postscript printer which is connected to an AT-compatible, so I use MS-DOS disks and just "copy filename to lpt1:". Maybe you can go via the MS-DOS route also – I'd be surprised if you couldn't find someone who has that link. Finally, if you're willing to drag your Amiga into the print shop, you can probably hook up to the Laserwriter's 9600 baud serial port without disturbing the guy's setup – he's probably using AppleTalk and the serial input is unconnected. All you have to do is plug in and turn a selector switch on the back to select serial input mode. I've done that too, and it works. (Of course, you'll have to convince the owner or manager that you can do that without blowing up his equipment). Good luck. Joel
