Amiga Genlock problems!

Help! I am now the proud owner of an Amiga Genlock, but there is a
problem… I have an Amiga 500, and the two don't match. According to the
specs I have, the only difference in the video ouput on the 500 and 1000
is: the 500 has -12V where the 1000 has -5V. Can anyone help me hook this
genlock up to my 500? Is this pin the only difference, and will a simple
voltage regulator to get the volts up to -5V do the trick? Any help anyone
can give will be greatly appreciated. I have had more hassles getting
adapters for everything that I buy…why oh why didn't commodore just stick
with some kind of standard?> Oh, well. Thanks in advance, Paul LeFevre
