There should be some overscan in the SC1224, shrinking the width will
bring the video that's 'off the edge' into view.k
The gentle rippling you see is 60Hz beat noise. The slight
difference between 60Hz power lines and the vertical sync rate (59.94Hz) can
give you that rippling at a .06Hz rate.
