BIG BUG HiSoft BASIC
I just bought HiSoft BASIC based on glowing reviews in the mags. I need to port
a program from MSDOS which uses the serial port for communications. Well guess
what? HiSoft BASIC DOES NOT SUPPORT SERIAL COMMUNICATIONS VIA THE SER: OR COM1:
DEVICES! I called MichTron and they said they were working on a fix but had no
idea when (or if) it would be available. So be warned that no serial
communications will be possible. If anyone has solved this problem or found a
work-around PLEASE send me EMAIL!!!! Thanks, Jim
