Well, all of that is good news vis a vis the Amiga. Getting governments and
large corporations to participate in the evaluation and beta/gamma testing of
hardware and software for something like the UX is precisely the right thing to
do. Just as intelligent as getting talented computer artists to evaluate
prototype paint programs, professional TV production folks for video, or
professional developers for programming languages and tools.
They own a piece of the effort themselves, and they feed back real world
condierations about design and execution.
I know all this sounds quite obvious, however, a) there has been scant evidence
CBM has understood this in the past and b) I sometimes get the feeling around
here that a lot of Amigans would actually prefer to have the machine be our
little secret, and would be upset if it actually became widely accepted by
crass, uncool folks like the Fortune 500.

people around here, and if it pinches a bit, that's too bad.)
