Dick: I have the PanaSync C1381 (interlaced) and really like it on my A3000. However, it does not scan down to 15.75 kHz, so the only usable scan rate is the 31.5 kHz signal produced by the A3000's built in delinterlacer. If the 1081i you are looking at also doesn't scan down to 15.75 kHz, than it is true that you will need something like ICD's FFV to use the monitor with the A1000 (remember, the stock A1000 doesn't have a video slot, so you can't use the C= deinterlacer or MicroWay Flicker Fixer cards). If you are not interested in adding a deinterlacer like FFV to your A1000, then don't waste your $$ on a multiscanning (MultiSynch) monitor… just get a C= 1080 or equiv.
