Would you like some examples of parallel announcements that had no supply? How about the rationing necessary in the early days of Mac IIs, PS/2, 80386, PC AT, Compaq 286, cabbage patch dolls, Yugos, Pet Rocks, and so forth… When you make a claim like "I seriously doubt you would see someting like this in the PC/Mac world" you tend to lose a little credibility in my eyes.
