That would be disastrous. Incompatibility is a death kiss unless you have the dollars to withstand a new ramp up and user acceptence. Then everyone would go around saying the Amiga was incompatible with itself; that programs written for the Amiga don't work on the AMiga, etc, etc… Believe me, I saw it in the early days of the Amiga (programs written invoke the guru) and the Atari (when I was considering buying one in the early 85s). andre
