No question but that Apple Computer has a mystique, which it spent
big bucks enhancing even after the natural "two guys started it in a
garage" opener. Commodore just doesn't have that mystique. People bow
to Apple. Heck, Bill Clinton had John Sculley at his economic
summit. The guy not only sells happy face computers, he used to push
Pepsi! How much more charisma do you need? Could anyone even imagine
any of Commodore International's big guns getting a similar nod?
Bottom line: C= just has to put out better product and work harder at
getting attention.
