I was wondering if you could post your mountlist entry for the Syquest SQ555 drive again? I had used View!'s KEEP feature to save your last posting but for some reason it did not work. I lost your message and several others that I had wanted to keep. I had to return the GVP IMPACT SCSI controller after tech support failed to get it functioning for me via the voice line. I did manage to get amigados format to work on it but it kicked out on cylinder 1313 and generated an error message that the format failed. I was using 1350 for the high cylinder , 0 for the Low cyl, 32 blks per track, interleave of 1. When I did this and mounted it Amigados claimed it was not a DOS disk but did not claim it was an unreadable disk. Still I haven't got it running yet, either using KRONOS or the GVP IMPACT. I did also get my '030 33MHZ GVP card and now when I try to output to my 2400dpi laser film imager, the send fails. Either the parallel.device driver can't handle the bi-directional I/O and does not recognize a request to hold or my VT4300P can't handle the data transfer rate. Now that I can't believe since it has an '020 and 12MB of ram along with using a 91MB hard disk for a page buffer. I've been on the phone to GVP, Varityper and even called a company in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan which is using four A2500s, ProPage and the Ethernet network. I'm very disappointed to say the least! If I pull the card out of the machine it works fine again! If I try and use the jumper to disable the '030 it still doesn't work! I'm hoping that the AppleTalk card I've got coming next week will allow me to circumvent this problem by just going on the LocalTalk port with our MAC II ci. [sigh]
