A3000 In Biz Week!
Holy press coverage, Batman! Out today, the May 14 issue of Business Week;
p. 130; a positively gushing article about the 3000. The reporter was at
the Palladium rollout and it's clear that C='s presentation had its
intended effect on him. Even the Toaster gets a paragraph. By all means
read this article! (Yes, there is frank talk about C='s anemic financial
results).
Also, in the most recent special issue of Institutional Investor (All
America Research Team Forum) Goldman Sach's Software analyst, Richard
Sherlund, discusses trends for the 90s. No mention of C= but it's clear
he's on the multimedia bandwagon. "As prices decline and performance
improves in the 1990s, multimedia capabilities could double or triple the
market for desktop computers." I'm skeptical of C='s assertion that
desktop video will the the DTP of the 90s but lately more and more industry
pundits seem to aggree.
Note that C='s stock price is near it's all-time lows. Forward thinking
people might think it's a buying opportunity. — Art
