I am under the impression that current CD-ROM (and CD-ROM XA) technology
can transfer data around 150K/sec… not exactly a speed demon, but then
quite a bit faster than the floppy drives we are now using. I think a
CD-ROM drive on the Ami would be *A Good Thing*, but of course before that
can happen CBM must create a standard method of using and accessing such
drives.
