Uhm… no, there have been times in the past when women achieved (near) social 'equality' with men… usually just before the collapse of the given society. One of the objections I have to the new Star Trek series is that everyone there seems to be some sort of stereotype. Most people don't fit entirely within their given (chosen?) stereotypes in real life. –Eet–
