Hi Dennis I am surprised you got all that stuff to work in the first place with out doing any mods. I have found the Expansion box to be very noisy. I am currently Running an A1000 with a Lucas/Frances(4 meg) with the Phoenix box with power supply. In the Phoenix box I have a 2058 ram card(2 meg) and on the end I have an RSI Wedge controller with 80 meg and 30 meg CDC wren drives attached. I originally had a lot of trouble with gurus of the 0003 and 0004 variety and non booting etc. and after talking to the Phoenix support people they suggested cutting all address & data lines and several of the control lines as they come into the box and then add a 10 ohm resistor in series. This helps suppress echoing and noise and I believe is what is done on the Bus of the A2000. I also have done the Pal ground mod as well as run an extra ground from the Kick Daughter board down to the expansion connector ground plane. I have done all this and find my system to be pretty stable however I recently tried to get a 2090A board to work but found it to be quite flakey, apparently it loads the bus quite badly so I have given up for now. I am waiting for my rejuvenator to come and we shall see how it changes the bus chacteristics (faster Pals and better loading) may give better results with addons. Good Luck John Lemoine 75320,143
