MNP Modems
Hi Betty, Auto-Reliable mode tries for the highest level of MNP that it
currently supports then drops down until it finds either a lower level MNP
connect,or just a normal connection. Reliable mode will do the first
part,but if it is *not* MNP,most modems will drop carrier..so it's either
MNP connect or bust with Reliable mode.
Different modems do different things on a non-MNP connect,some fall back to
constant speed mode,or variable speed mode,so it pays to read the docos!!
