This whole thread sounds very familiar to me. Fantasy books started about where the games are today. In the late 70's and early 80's there were many backlash books writen by feminist which were equaly bad in the opposite direction. Now a large number of the stories have outgrown both view, and provide much better stories allowing variability of humans, but not aimed near as much at a specific gender as an audience. As to why the state of the games is as it is now. 1. The majority of the programers are male. 2. The majority of the game players are male. 3. Because the most of the games are male oriented, more men than women will enjoy them, and therfore buy them, causing 2 to be self-perpetuating. The future probably will involve the same path as fantasy books. Gary
