that you've found out we were right, you're annoyed, I can't say I find that a particularly rational response, but that's just me I guess. I also find it silly that you blame us for anything Redmond Cable did or didn't do. As to why you'd want to use IM instead of AdPro, I can think of a number of reasons, some of them extremely compelling – things like better image quality, WYSIWYG operations, working in AGA modes instead of just viewing images in them, a couple *hundred* operations you can't do in AdPro at all, or, the way that ASDG counts operations (they claim that AdPro can do "thousands" of image processing operations, which is laughable, but hey, we can use the same Mad Ave technique and say…), you can do MILLIONS of image processing operations using Imagemaster that AdPro simply cannot do at all. We've been a software only operation for a while now, and we clearly have outpaced ASDG in the areas of image manipulation and morphing. And since that's 2/3rds of what they do now, guess where that has already put them? Last, that's where. If you wish to choke your options off by limiting your image manipulation to using only a product like AdPro2, that's entirely your right, of course, and I wish you as much success as can be had with it. I just hate to see you cut off your nose to spite your face. Even the lead that ASDG had in scanners is about to be eliminated with the 9.24 release, which includes FAR better scanner support than AdPro does, and at no extra cost. IM already handles more file formats (IM provides 53 file operations stock, AdPro2 provides 37 operations stock) and we're adding still more. In fact, the only area where ASDG can provide you with anything we've NOT done yet is in the two areas of device drivers for highend devices like slide makers and so on. Perhaps that's important to you. It must be important to someone, certainly. Recently, because of some statements that pk made over on the Internet (and in ads, and in faxes to dealers…), we had the pleasure of getting <continued>
