Craig, Thanks for the reply; I didn't realize you guys were on-line here. Yes, it is hard to diagnose online, due to non-interactivity. I'll probably be the one to call you guys, though, since the owner is a brand-new Amiga owner (who keeps making comments about how well the Atari worked that I convinced him to give up for a 2000HD!). I've been doing most of the troubleshooting anyway. Until you send me your tech support number, here's the poop: No, the boards were in different slots when tested independently. The 2091 has always been in the first slot to the left of the accelerator slot, but the RAM board has been tested in different slots, but never in the same as the 2091 slot. I've made sure that the 2091 is jumpered for 0M, and we've tried 2,4, and 6M combinations in the AdRAM2080, changing the jumpers accordingly. Your supplied RAM tests pass. All RAM testers that I can find pass too. The system works dandy if only one of the boards is installed, but not if both boards are installed. All "special" stuff has been removed from the user-startup (it was deleted) and the WBStartup subdirectory. The results are the same. Random hits, causing lockup of the system, sometimes followed by 800…..03 gurus. Can find no correlation between activities and crashing: it can be while in a shell or running a Shell, or an animation, etc. Weird. I would LOVE to find someone with a RAM board they'd loan me for a quick test, but can't find anyone. The AdRAM2080 APPEARS to work in my 2000, but since it gets stuck up in the top 2M of the map, I'm not convinced it's an equivalent test, though a RAM tester said it was fine. We'll have to run your tests again to find out where it finds the RAM; I didn't write it down. Early on, we found a pin bent under on one of the chips, but all chips have been removed and inspected, and even swapped into each other's slots, since the additional 4M he bought was a different manufacturer, though same speed.
